BSA Troop 76G

Who is Troop 76G?

Troop 76G is for Scouts who are 11 years old through 17 years old (or starting at 10 years old and in fifth grade - if joining after March 1 or if the Scout has earned the Arrow of Light in Cub Scouting).  The Troop follows the traditional Scout-led Patrol method.  This means older Scouts are elected by their peers into positions of leadership where they plan meetings and trips, and also, they provide direct training for younger Scouts with the skills and traditions of Scouting.

The adult Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters help the youth leadership with planning and coordination in a supportive role that provides the Scouts the opportunity to try new things and develop their own goals.  Adults involved with the Troop undergo a high-quality annual Youth Protection Training, as well as other outdoor and safety training set forth by BSA, with two-deep leadership strictly maintained in all interactions, including online communication.

Meetings

We meet at the Memorial Cabin at 600 Monument Avenue in Malvern, by Paoli Battlefield Park, on most Mondays during the school year.  Our Scouts attend multiple public and private schools.

Active Scouts attend at least one meeting per month with allowances made for extracurricular activities.  Many Scouts participate in activities, such as varsity and club sports and various school activities.
